Today I’ve been thinking about what I’ve just dubbed the “Relaxed Midi Skirt” for lack of knowing it’s official term. A knee-length number that’s not a bodycon/full/pleated/sheath skirt – not too structured nor loose, not too tight nor flared. Kind of A-line but with a little more oomph, where the fabric just hangs nonchalantly off the smallest part of your waist.
I can’t remember how I came across it, but I discovered the online luxury consignment store, TheRealReal, last week. They only sell 100% authentic goods at much much lower prices than their original retail (since it’s all second-hand). I don’t mind sifting through second-hand items at all if it means coming across fashion gold in the form of VINTAGE. I looove shopping for vintage pieces. I guess that’s mostly because the pieces carry the appeal of being rare/uncommon and there’s just something about a design that can stand the test of time and still look wonderful and inspiring despite the fact that it’s not what’s currently trendy. Another big plus: it’s pretty much the most environmentally-friendly way to shop.
