Am I the only one still not feeling the Christmas-ness yet?!?!?! 😟 In attempts to get the ~festive vibes~ rolling, I did an icy little lavender look a la Sugar Plum Fairy from the Nutcracker. Plus, apparently “Ultraviolet” is Pantone’s 2018 Colour of the Year – any thoughts on this? I honestly found myself slowly getting more and more into purple in the last month, even before they announced it! I guess those trend forecasters behind it really know what they’re doing haha.
Ahh hello!!! It has been soooo long since I’ve been able to blog regularly and I really missed it 😭 Life’s been hectic basically ever since NZFW because I started a job at Zara right after (which was stressful af) and then Uni requirements caught up with me and I was basically dying until my last exam 😅 But now I’m currently on my summer vacation which I am spending back home in Manila, so we are back to our regular programming!
I have some stories to share about the last few weeks that I’ll post about soon, plus I promise to keep you updated on all the cool things that will go down in the upcoming weeks!!
So for the ~ first post in forever ~ I wanted to quickly talk about my absolute favourite lipsticks.
Say hello to my second Instagram account, @mangoeface! I got inspired by this account called @subliming.jpg, which is run by an artist who illustrates inspirational quotes. The collections showcasing at NZ Fashion Week are actually for AW18 though since our seasons are opposite on this side of the world! I just wanted to quickly mention my fave collections from the week after being able to get up close and personal with most of them.

HAHA okay I just wanted to sound more dramatic, but more specifically I mean to say I used to be part of this group of friends. We call this a “barkada”in the Philippines, and for the past four years my barkada was something I truly prided myself on.
Sabina from Folly and Misfortune is a stylish soul who I met at university, and instantly clicked with. It was one of those spontaneous and unexpected moments, where you meet someone at the right time and happen to both have a zest for fashion. Winter in Auckland has been on the icy side with the wind and grey clouds, but it was a beautiful clear blue sky today. It seemed like the perfect time to take photos, wander around the lovely suburb of Parnell and satisfy our sweet cravings with a delicious nutella dessert from Casa Del Gelato. Read on to discover Sabina’s thoughts on fashion, her favourite designers and style icons.
When did you become interested in fashion? As a child I didn’t want to dress up and only wanted to wear comfortable clothes, I’d even go to the mall in pajamas. My interest in fashion started when I discovered…
