Here’s just a bunch of the best articles I’ve written for my internship at Review Publishing! I mostly work on their B2B fashion publication, Apparel Magazine, and their lifestyle e-mag Fennec & Friends.
All the world of fashion knows Alexa Chung as the queen of cool outfits. Chung reached her It Girl status precisely because of her distinct personal style that makes blue denim, knit sweaters, and floral dresses actually feel unique and fresh. In turn, Alexa Chung Style has always felt unattainable; her effortlessly chic, French-girl-meets-Victorian style has been coveted ever since she stepped onto the scene many years ago. But now, the It Girl has finally blessed us with the chance to have a slice of pure Alexa Chung goodness in our closets, with the launch of the her eponymous clothing line!
Spent the morning at Miss FQ’s #EatDessertFirst event in collaboration with Juicy Couture! It was a quick little in-and-out pop up just to hand out the yuummiest little cupcakes and a goody bag! We got to take home a copy of their latest issue as well as a bottle of the new Juicy Couture Sucre eau de parfum! I seriously love love love this scent. Thank you Miss FQ for this short and sweet event!
Less than a month after my first purchase from TheRealReal, I just couldn’t help myself from advantaging myself with another one of their ah-mazing steals. This time called for a vintage pink Gucci blazer.
Ahh, I’m on WordPress now! After almost a year of being on Blogspot, I realised that I wasn’t getting all that I wanted out of my blogging experience with Blogger. I was really proud of myself for being able to actually get a solid blog (sabinasysantos.blogspot.com) up and going last year for the first time ever after MANY failed attempts. My problem had always been that I felt like I had no idea what I was doing and I wasn’t producing content I was passionate about or that it wasn’t really true to myself and that because of this my blog would go nowhere. I was always just so STUCK whenever I tried to make a blog in high school. But when I moved to New Zealand, it suddenly just changed and things were flowing. I made a blog I loved! It was definitely still a process, but I actually really enjoyed making content and being more open, and could really feel myself getting better and better the more I posted.
But now the problem was…I had this blog I was proud of but no one to share it with! (other than my boyfriend and the few fellow writer friends I have). I wanted to be more a part of the “blogging community” but I felt like Blogger was quite walled off, I only realised this until one of my friends who runs a blog on WordPress was telling me about the lovely responses she gets on her posts – I couldn’t even get a proper comments box to work on my Blogspot page for some reason. SO, here I am! A wordpress convert.
I look forward to having this new blogging experience! Apologies in advance cuz the posts prior to this will have been designed to go with my previous template and might look a bit funny in this new layout. Regardless, I’m loving my new space and excited for whats to come.
I’ve rediscovered Alexa Chung’s Villoid app recently and got inspired to have a bit of a play on it while I was watching Girlboss. And I found that thinking of the perfect outfit just makes you wanna think of the perfect day to wear it.
So alas, here are 7 wonderful outfits I’d sell my soul for – one for each day of the week in the ideal life I wish I had (or shall I say, am working towards!)
