Ask me what my favourite book is and – as if I were talking about a lover – I’ll say I just haven’t found it yet. Nonetheless, I’ve read a lot of stuff in my lifetime that have made a lasting impact on my thoughts and just generally who I am as a person. Today I’ve been thinking about what I’ve just dubbed the “Relaxed Midi Skirt” for lack of knowing it’s official term. A knee-length number that’s not a bodycon/full/pleated/sheath skirt – not too structured nor loose, not too tight nor flared. Kind of A-line but with a little more oomph, where the fabric just hangs nonchalantly off the smallest part of your waist.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve got “champagne taste on a beer budget”, i.e. my heart just yearns for things it can’t pay for. I wrote a post about secondhand shopping recently, in which I mentioned how scouring thrift shops and online marketplaces for preloved designer items has been a recent obsession of mine. SO this, my friends, is my way of obtaining beautiful pieces from designers I love but couldn’t otherwise afford!

Last Wednesday marked the three year anniversary of my relationship with mah dearly beloved high school sweetheart (trying not to cringe @ myself while writing about relationshippy stuff). Out of the three years we’ve been together, about half of that time was through long distance. I remember being familiar with the concept of a “long distance relationship” even as a child, even when I wouldn’t have fully understood what it meant and constituted of, even though it would be a long time after that before I fully understood what it meant and constituted of.
